How it works

We are mass-synthesizing Lithium-ion-Encapsulating Fullerenes [Li⁺@C60]  (We name it as LiEF).

Because of its unique and novel features. LiEF has great potential to create innovative devices.

To demonstrate this, we are undertaking development of the next generation of perovskite solar cells, super capacitors and ultra sensitive gas sensors.

We provide LiEF to universities, R&D institutes and businesses who desire to explore this novel material and develop its applications.

Video Courses

Professor Campbell is a world leader in research into endohedral fullerenes, particularly lithium ion endohedral fullerenes (LiEF).

This video was sent to us by Professor Campbell when Tsutomu Fukamatsu (President of Fukamatsu Gumi Co., Ltd.) made a donation to the Faculty of Science at Tohoku University in 2022 and opened a donation account for basic research on nanomaterials, including LiEF.

This video shows how fascinating LiEF is for researchers, and how this new material can be the basis for a variety of new application devices. For example, the results of Professor Ikeda's research show that "multiple memory positions can be secured in one molecule, and we can expect to see the development of ultra-small, ultra-highly integrated elements called molecular switches." This gives us a sense that this new material will be a game changer in the next generation.

We are aiming for the practical application of bottom-up technology.
